About SUUK Founder
Rachael Reign

Rachael Reign is the Founder and CEO of Surviving Universal UK, a specialist organisation addressing spiritual and cultic abuse through culturally competent safeguarding.
Based in South London, she is recognised as a leading voice in the UK on this issue, contributing to national awareness, safeguarding practice, and policy conversations.
Rachael founded Surviving Universal UK in response to a clear gap in support for those affected by high-control environments, particularly within Black communities where harm is often misunderstood or overlooked.
Her work has supported thousands of individuals across the UK and internationally, and she has worked alongside safeguarding professionals, police, and decision-makers to improve recognition and response to this form of abuse.
Rachael Reign’s work has been featured by BBC, BBC Panorama, The Guardian and Sky News, helping bring this issue into national conversation.
She is an advisory member of the National Working Group on Spiritual and Ritual Abuse and part of the Ban Conversion Practices Coalition.
Rachael is also a Scout leader and a finalist in the 2026 Lambeth Civic Awards (Safer Lambeth), reflecting her impact at a local level.
Her work is grounded in a clear principle: Accountability is not persecution.
